Dmitry... this is lovely. The selective focus in perfect as is the composition IMHO. I can a tiny bit if artifacts in the sky near the mountain top, due to compression... but I can see by the file size there was little you could have done about it. smile

Melanie: Yes, the size limit. There is no much in this photo except of details of this one-side-bald pine tree, and I wanted to show them. This is why the image is bulky, and trade off to fit it to 120kb was the compression level.

Лилия: Ммм..мм. не уверен. Была бы наполовину лысая елка на полностью лысой лужайке... 8+)))

Lovely scene...Would have liked to see more DOF, and the foreground is a bit under exposed.

Reda Danaf: Underexposition is because of Velvia. Many people rate this film at ISO 40, and this is good practice. After several tries I also started to do so, but this one was taken at 50.

Nice colors - interesting composition. New growth from the old growth. This is like a dream.

Excellent composition, the little scraggly pine focuses my attention, and I love it. This image looks almost 3D to me...

this is a nice mountain landscape
the snow on the slopes in the distance
and the grass and tiny yellow flowers in the sun in the foreground
only the tree in the middle could be too central
the way i see it there are two alternatives to cut some of the picture (for instance to the right)
or to take the picture again this time with the photographer moving a few steps to the left so that the tree does not slice the mountain in the background in two
i know it might not be possible to do either of the two – for any number of strong reasons
especially when it comes to the second alternative since you might have taken the shot when on a trip you might not be able to embark upon again

(i`ve always introduced myself when first getting in touch with somebody
having done it for so many times i do not know what is left to say – so as not to repeat myself which i generally hate to do – my member page also has a few words about me - together with the other things hat could be found on the forum i hope they make up a picture that is satisfactory enough still should you have any query please feel free to ask
only thing i would like to add now is that my pictures are still not available to the virtual public eye)

So you have returned to Forum after one year...that is how I missed you...as I was on many summer trips..... wink
I find that you ar an artist in your presentations.....
often I find big drama in your photos and that is very obvious in this image.....
Perfect composition...
