вот, полюбуйтесь smile my variant of the photo

Beautiful scene. Next Saturday I wil go to Waterloo near Brussels where the defeat of Napoleon and the battle of Waterloo will be replayed. I hope to take some nice pictures but there will be lots of rain all day long. sad smile smile

Good luck ! There is a great problem-huge crowd of spectators between old-fashion weared people. Taking clear pictures is not so easy.. smile

This is true. These happenings are often too crowded so it is difficult to take pictures.

In Waterloo the actual battle is on Sunday and then you have to stay behind fences which is not really interesting or you have to be lucky to have a good spot. So I go there on Saturday to visit the different camps. These camps are very nice to see because they are at the authentic spots (1 camp of the allied forces with the British, Prussian, Russian forces and 2 camps of the French). All has to look authentic from clothing to sleeping on straw. Last year there were about 3000 participants and about 400-500 horses. I love the colours of the uniforms and the whole atmosphere. wink
