I shot this last June with Paul Bracey. He was on a short trip to France and we spent some days together taking pictures! This is the Menthon S`t Bernard castle in the Alps near Annecy. The same as my "Foggy castle" post. I gave it a funny tilte, because the light was really quick and tricky on that evening. This was the last ray of light before the sun went down.

Fascinating composition and fantastic light quality on the castle, Jerome.

Romantically. Already I want there with my models

What a wonderful place, as was Annecy, Lyone, Paris, and Chamonix...

Hmm... The best shots I got here were the ones with the digital camera. The prints came back all blurred and over exposed. Go figure. All the more reason this is such an impressive shot. (Where are the power lines?!?! You didn`t... PHOTOSHOP them out?!?!) *grin*

Jerome Obiols Jerome Obiols #7 Fri 24 Aug 2001 19:31

No electric wire in my shot Paul *grin*
Or maybe yes: in the very right upper corner since my viewfinder shows only 96% of the image...

For those that were not here: I think it was one of the only possible framing without including the ugly power lines that the Man built in the field just in front of this point of view. I hate when beautiful nature scenes are hurted like this...

The BRAN Castle in Romania is very much alike. It realy looks like a fantasy Castle(Drakkula?)Nice composition and light.
I just had a look on the comments,It seems like the web is divided in groups, families("mafia"?)and I remember Al Short and his last words.Perhaps he`s right,we should think about it more serious...
