Close, Paul. Something didn`t grap me. I would suspect it is the lighting. I would try different dodging and burning = ala Jeff Alu style.

Nice feeling of depth Paul. Very abstract, I like it very much! I`d maybe PS out the small bright spot on the right border that I find a bit distracting personally. You have plenty of details and a lot of different grey tones. It looks like a professionnal B&W print!
