Paul,
If I had to choose between your two shots, I think I`d prefer #2 with the droplets. Let`s first make things clear: both images are beautiful
This one has a lot of details, but it doesn`t "tells a story" as the other one does. It`s more a scientific flower shot with the "Paul Bracey touch"
I prefer the other one for the light, showing all the texture of the petals.

This just pops right out of my monitor, it`s a real shadow play. Great work on this lovely bloom. I wish you would post another view *hint*
