I couldn`t believe my eyes when I read the article "Top 5 most difficult descents of Switzerland", on the sunday edition of the NZZ, (the "serious" or in other words : The Times of Switzerland) of December 7, 2003 : it included the Leist among them !

That`s because even if I agree, ... the Leist is part of a ski resort (Flumserberg) that normally never should have any chance to make it into "the top 5" of any category ranked by such a newspaper : no five stars hotels; a block in St. Moritz or Davos probably offers more hotel beds than the whole Flumserberg area ... or in other words : no Ski World Cup races.

1:00 PM - The first part of an allucinating (in the combination non-stop/direct line) descent from 2222 m to 420 m at the lake - well, not quite: March 3, wasn`t one of those 10 days ... not even one of those 30 days ...

I always do prefer skiing-areas with very few of these "giant" hotels, lots of people and crowded "lifts" (engl. term?). I love these grown, little villages way better. And this area doesn`t look too bad to me. smile
