Just before Christmas a high pressure over Central Europe brought a sucession of clear cold days - this was shot before noon, temperature about -2.5° C. The temperature still rose a bit but not enough to prevent the first official day of Winter to claim the lowest high I registered for this Winter (today March 10, there`s hardly any probabilities left that it still will be beaten).
Foehn stations
here a graph with the values of highs for Vaduz, capital of Liechtenstein, located 25 km from the lake.

Highs are very similar to the lake, but lows are lower, because it lacks the moderating effect of the lake`s deep waters (the only ones in Switzerland that never have frozen) and the protection of the Churfirsten`s south wall.
BTW, the other absolute foehn station is swiss, Altdorf, at the lake of Lucerne. Due to the special topography of that lake, only one of its branches benefits from foehn - people in Lucerne, at the same height and just a few miles away, experience it very rarely.
There are still a couple of swiss stations on that site that know what foehn is : Aigle, Adelboden, Glarus (just behind the mountain in the left) and Chur.
