This is a Mike`s comment for Redwood#1"I would love to see the left side cropped to create a vertical image, with the rather central tree shifted to the right edge.."So, Here you go..... ! :-))

Первый вариант лучше. Мне кажеться большое дерево не доминировало в центре, как Майк написал, но лишь представляло границу между светом и тенью, надеждой и безнадегой (если можно так выразиться). В вертикальном формате правая часть становиться слишком тяжелой а слева непонятное светлое пятно (кажеться туман?) - и картинка потеряла всю свою загадочность и "философичность", превратившись в обычный пейзаж.
