I`m soory for the siluet in black on the background, but this Eskimo (He told me he is an Eskimo) was so active, while talking to his friends than only one picture from 8 (!!!) was sharp, without him moving.... Even that the shutter speed was 125...

What a character he appears to be! Perhaps a little fill flash would have helped "freeze" his actions... and would have illuminated his facial features a bit.

Having worked with these people in Greenland, it is sad what becomes of them beyond their native land. I think your photo does an excellent job of communicating just that; from the bottle in his hand to the ragged look on his face.

Melanie, I`ve bought the flas much laiter....Anyway my camera can`t syncronise with speed, higher than 125... The only solution is 800 film...
Peter, you right, thanks.... I had a doubel filling viewing it - happy about getting a good shot with colorful person and sad about what can became out of a man....

I agree with Melanie and Pete - You did a great job of communicating just that what become of them. Melanie is right: a little flash would have helped!
Why can`t your camera syncronise with speed, higher than 125?
The only solution seems to me: a Nikon Coolpix. Great photo, Roman!

Very good portrait with good DOF and fine colors. Street portraits have this problems, the background is mostly a surprise.

Peter, external Flash syncronisation with Nikon F80 works only for less than 125, for F5 up to 250....But I still love film cameras.... smile ))

Juan, thanks! I hear the voice of street photographer... smile )) The case is either you have a clear backgorund or interesting picture &))))
