We took a ride on the Ohio Erie Canal in Canal Fulton, Ohio today. The boats were in use from 1836 to 1913 and ran the full length of Ohio. In 1913 there was a great flood that dismembered many areas of the canal and the Rail Road had won the popularity along with the invention of the automobile. Today you can ride a replica canal boat on about an hour long horse drawn journey.
