This must be a very old portrait - Wonderful that `old` color and how you put in that oval - beautiful composition - Historic shot, Babette!

I have just spent several days scanning in and touching up old family photographs taken in the 1920s and 1930s. I don`t find this one convincing....despite the colours he still looks 21st century. Rather dark and gloomy too...sorry smile

I wish there were a little more detail in the beard - the image has great character but i agree with Mike - i think it is the t-shirt and i think this might bemore effective as a James Dean kind of character

How old is this portrait. Did you take this after you were grown up. Then it is not so old. Oh well, I can only judge you by your intentions and you do not let me know them here. So take that 5 and like it.

I think that you have delivered us `time` in a very intriguiging photo. I don`t see dark and gloomy, but rather pensive...contemplative.
In 100 years from now this will be a photo people will ponder over. smile
