OLD Store, near Roger`s Mill: Danielsville, Ga.

notes:
This Store once operated prosperously in the 1920`s, 1930`s and into the 1940`s. It was called "BAKER`S STORE AT ROGER`S MILL."
This Photograph was taken on TRi X 400 film with a NORITA SL66 CAMERA with a 55mm Noritar Lens. Tripod and Cable release used for extra sharpness. Final print on Ilford paper and slightly toned.

Nice shot. I like B/W. I would step back a little and get more road in the picture.

excellent image...love thr sepia toning..I can appreciate your dark-room work..everything is positioned perfectly in the composition..I`m not sure where Danielsville is.. My mom is in Decatur...and a brother in Blue Ridge in Fanin county...again....nice work which I have enjoyed viewing..

Superb technique, great idea, I think slightly better shooting angle could be found...

the explanation proved helpful once more
i would never have thought about a store if it hadn`t been for the notes (though what else could it have been)
in fact i would not have needed to know what the place was used for
i would just build my story around the forsaken building and the trees watching over it

the overall light makes the spot a peaceful one so it is nice to contemplate
the pattern on the walls (the wooden broads set so as to keep the water out) brings extra value to the shot

the frame is good - it makes the viewer feel as if looking out of the window

[my comment to `Eric ( RED CAP), and Friend SPECIAL OLYMPICS` too bad you`ve taken it out]

very extensive notes
some technical (very) some meant to come as explanation/justification
frankly i do not need much of the first
as about the second i can see your concern but i do not quite see why bother about the issue
(such people want to be treated as any other so why not having pictures of them too
i see them on tv when it is about various games and i suppose they would not expose themselves it they did not feel comfortable about people on the sides taking pictures of them
the political-correctness thing is usually much gratuitous fuss so again why bother take it into account
and why should photographers have a different status than other people

i take this picture here for a picture and that is that)
i like the way it is processed and the resulting contrast between the human figures and the background as well as the intrusion of the perfect geometry in the lower left-hand corner
the red is also a good trick
