A wading bird found in South Florida, in this case the Florida Everglades.
On my trip down to the Everglades, this was the first bird I saw after stepping
out of my car.

wow...what a beautiful subject...and..the very first bird you saw...she muct wear a size 16 shoe !!! those feet are incredible..I really like seeing her in the natural habitat...nice image....such colorful splendor...

I would love to see the eye of the bird but I understand the outstanding action here. Technically even though the light is subdued you needed to be another stop under to expose for the top white of the bird`s head. Artie Morris is wrong: expose for highlight detail.
