Malta is located directly in the middle Mediterranean sea between Sicily (90 km) and Tunis (230 km). As the state, she(it) will consist of set of the islands forming so-called Maltese archipelago.
The mankind here for the first time has declared itself in area 6000 years up to AD, that is it is one of the most ancient civilizations of the world (not without reason on island Gozo there is the most ancient artificial construction of the Earth). Having visited under a boot of all conceivable conquerors, Malta only by the end of XX century has found independence. For today person occupies her(it) more than 400 thousand. On population density the country takes a honourable third place in the world (after Monaco and Singapore). Official languages two - Maltese and English, getting in the inheritance from last colonizers. All malteses not bad speak English (behind exception, should be, only elderly farmers).
