Photo "Shadow"

Hi there!
Hm, apparently, it is a very pretty image. I like the plant, the light and the composition... But I have the same problem when I happen to photograph it: somehow it looks rather flat. It doesn't have that punch of emphasized three-dimentionality.... I've seen pics of it really outstanding. But it still out of my range... Let's keep trying!

yes, it's flat. And has been captured as a flat pattern of light and shadows. Besides, the DOF is shallow not to garbage the background. There are some other shots with fern in my series "Green" which I hope look quite 3D )
