notes:
my first post with new, (second hand) bought Nikon camera =).. still trying to use it..

A Nautilus, the shell that inspired great Jules Verne to name his submarine.
it is a broken half, but still can be seen chambers and parts of the siphuncle..
i only used sun light from behind, those intense colours are transparences of its stripes...

info about it: http://www.weichtiere.at/Mollusks/Kopffuesser/nautilus.html

Another great work - Jules verne, still remember the James Mason movie well.
Not just a Nautilus, but really a graphic quality fine art work.

Wow, I am impressed. Very impressive pattern and light. Warm and cold colours are working perfectly togather. All I miss is sharpness/DOF. Also too much noise but I suspect, this is result of camera You use. Great shot anyway. Regards.

i tried, (only tried), to focus that part of the shell that impressed me.. and because the central part of spyral is so broken.. you're right about technique.... but it is not the camera, that is very good.. it's the photographer.. but i will do it better!.. smile ).. thanks!
