notes:
This is one of the earliest flowers that appear at the end of winter. The bloom of this tiny flower would fit on the eraser on the end of a pencil. It is named "Blue-Eyed Grass" for some reason. :))

Beautiful colors, Sandra, but IMO it`s a little too `busy`.

Very small and tiny. The mauve and green is beautiful. Sharp fine details to make it stand out. Background is a little busy but we cant always crontrol what mother nature gives us. To get more of a blurred background we would have to open up the F/stop and then we loose the DOF, so its much better like this IMHO.

Anyway, beautiful shot of a small flower I have not seen before. Thanks.

so, is this what they mean when they say harbingers of spring? smile it must be!
Sandra, this is incredibly tender, sweet, and glowing from the bloom itself down to the center leaf and the base -- this line is very nice. The rest I find a little overwhelming. Some questionable cropping and that out of focus bud are a bit of a let-down as well. Still, the image exhudes spring air - refreshing! smile
