This is one of the earliest flowers that appear at the end of winter. The bloom of this tiny flower would fit on the eraser on the end of a pencil. It is named "Blue-Eyed Grass" for some reason. :))

Very small and tiny. The mauve and green is beautiful. Sharp fine details to make it stand out. Background is a little busy but we cant always crontrol what mother nature gives us. To get more of a blurred background we would have to open up the F/stop and then we loose the DOF, so its much better like this IMHO.

Anyway, beautiful shot of a small flower I have not seen before. Thanks.

Sandra, this is incredibly tender, sweet, and glowing from the bloom itself down to the center leaf and the base -- this line is very nice. The rest I find a little overwhelming. Some questionable cropping and that out of focus bud are a bit of a let-down as well. Still, the image exhudes spring air - refreshing! улыбаюсь
