Great!!! Yes,it's correct,geese defended cities,in Belgium too!I know the story of a little village near Liège:Visé,where there were geese to give alarm...And one night,they did not,the village was attacked and destroyed...the geese were killed by the angry people of the village,but,they were quickly bored by the way of cooking the geese,so,they used a new way of cooking,with cream and garlic,and that is still knowed as "oie à la mode de Visé"...delicious,I confirm!!!
Thanks for the nice comment Sarah. These geese live in a castle pond near Tongeren (Tongres) and according to the local fisherman very peacefull. Think it was my camera.

These birds are really aggressive, at least with the intruders or extraneous.. ...altaugh theyr look is pretty, nice and tender..!
