This photo is from 2 winters ago, but it is still one of my favorite "uphill" ski shots. The morning of this picture was clear and cold, with fresh snow from the day before on the ground. We had eyed a new bowl to ski the previous day and here you see us breaking a new trail out of the drainage. This is a typical view when your a few back from the lead, and since you spend so much more time going up than down, you have hours each day to appreciate the changing light and landscape.

very soft, but I feel the chill. Nice contours, lines from the tracks. Great subtle light, shadow. Not easy to pull that off in a snow scene. Well done
