Hippeastrum also known as amaryllis. To put in the word of Shakespeare : what's in a name. I grow these flowers every year in my living. They flower in midwinter and they bring me the colours I have to miss in these dark days.

Other than being a beautiful floral, I really like the lighting, especially on the stem and buds. It has such a 3 dimentional feel. The white matte goes well.
