In the five weeks prior to the day of this picture, the Coast Mountains in Canada accumulated over 4 metres of snow. On this day, (the start of a week long ski tour for me) the clouds finally lifted. As I hope this picture shows, the views and effect of that much snow was spectacular. Although there was a near monochrome effect to this picture, I did convert it to black and white to eliminate a slighting distracting blue section of the sky in the left corner.
