a taste like the river..

notes:
Not at Quilmes, but at Buenos Aires, at a place called Costanera (from “coast”)... beside the big city, a huge natural reservoir, with soil gained to the river.. all kinds of birds and plants... Another day, and another soul.. no more brightness, but just mist and solitude... same feelings that inspired so many poets to talk about us, about our spirit... about our being..
and I remembered some verses of a tango, with music of Astor Piazzola and words of a great poet, Horacio Ferrer... he talks about the immigrants coming here, still with salt at his veins, to build a new life..

At the shore , at the shore,
children of the river,
it is necessary to make our town,
what a defiance!
We will become a single soul,
humbly,
with the deep force
of the water’s flow.
With the salt and the mist
we will make oblivion ,
with gulls coming back,
only good memories

And a last phrase, from another tango..

My song tastes "good bye" , like the river..

I love the soft muted color of this shot. The placement
of the boat in the foreground together with warm tone
and texture is excellent. A sweet and endearing picture.

Among those immingrants, possibly, there was my grandfather, living working and dead in Buenos Aires.
I liked very much your work, but I like even more your way to link poetry and image, the eyes of body and those, clearer, of soul. !Salud!

grazie, anteo, per le tue parole!... one of my grandparents came from italy.. he stayed here, worked hard, married my grandmother, with aborigin blood at her veins.. so, how not to feel part of me and love the leaving's melancholy of the immigrant and his roots!.. and at same time, feel a strong belonging to the roots of those who owned for thousands of years this piece of earth ...
we were that mix.. a mix that melted in what we are...

Wonderful combination of vivid colours in the front and those pale tones in the back, ... you made endless sensation, ... big as the souls of those people who came to start a new life.
Congrats my dear!
