I came upon this lovely little butterfly while walking the dog the other morning. It was basking on a blade of grass in the sun.It is a Speckled Wood butterfly common in woodland mainly in England & Ireland. It usually lays two batches of eggs a year in meadowland where the young caterpillars feed off the grasses. Enjoy My Dear Friends. Best Wishes to You All,Brian.
