I dont' think there is any problem.. In Norway one can see such roofs covered with grass and flowers.... there are old thatched roofs with humidity...
and for weekend I'am wondering too!

I wonder if such roofs last long... Looks like they are being taken over by nature and the roots will start coming through the ceiling.
