The graising elk cows originally caught my attention, it was only after a minute I noticed the rack of the bull rise up out of the grass. I took another picture after the bull is standing, but I like the effect of not seeing the animal this picture provides.

Yes, it is interesting that we can`t see entire animal. But I think, it would be better as close up, ... or to use zoom.

Your photo looke like the story my brother just told me. He was hunting and didn't see anything, then out of nowhere a rack poped up out of the grass, Well he's eatingsome Elk now. Nice shot
