breeze and fire at water..

Since long ago, I wanted to shoot this flower, to show you.. it is called Ceibo (or Seibo).. it is Argentina’s national flower.
This lake was so kind, and gave me the opportunity to capture few of them, a part of the curious trunk and roots .. and (with a bit of imagination :-) ) its leaves at those breezy waters..
At the time of conquest, at east of my country, there was a brave tribe. One of its members was a courageous young woman, Anahi. She fought against the invaders, but she finally was captured. She was condemned to die burnt in a fire for having killed the guardian who watched her. She smiled and defied them. But when the flames had begun to reach her body, something very strange happened.
The executioners ran away terrified as they saw the delicate figure and the tree to which it was tied up shake in a way they had never seen before. The next morning the aborigines did not find any trails of the fire but instead there was a huge tree with red flowers in its bare branches standing in the place. The Ceibo tree and its flower, which represented the brave girl and her tribe, had been born.

As a comment, I attach a variant to show, in just a common image, the flowers at tree..

Beautiful focus range, colors and textures. The lighting
and contrast made this shot so special. A lot of details
in all flower petals. Sheer photographic perfection.

I took a look at your "variant" of this flower ... what a wonderful and interesting flower.
I find your main image , above, quite wonderful as well with the highlit reflections on the water mimicking, although in a more geometric way, the petals of the flower floating in the water. Well seen and captured.

Eccellente immagine cara amica.
