I saw this velvet ant on the forest floor in Myakka River State Park, Sarasota County Florida, and took this macro during the brief time that it stopped to feed on a tiny bit of organic matter. Olympus C8080WZ digital camera, supermacro setting, autofocus, aperture priority f 8.0, autoexposure 1/3 sec, ISO 50, external flash, tripod.
