Dear viewers please do not write under my photos senseless, empty comments like “Great picture”, “Nice shot”, “Wonderful capture” or “Bad”, “Shit”, “You can do better”. With all my respect to your opinion, it’s much more important to know what in the picture is not perfect rather than what is good (I really know it myself). I welcome very much your concrete recommendations what and how to make better in the capture. In case you have nothing to say on the essence of the photo or have doubts on correctness and adequacy of your comment, it’s better to write nothing. Just put the triple5 mark.

I think it`s a little tilted to the right. Also, I would crop the other side of the river (but living some leaves from the tree) and little bit of the floor. I like very much the mood of the photo. As the colors aren`t much strong, have you thought on a black and white version? It`s a very pleasent image, thought.

(1) Good idea about B&W - strange, but it never came to my mind. I`ll try to play with it. Cropping - probably you are right, but I thought about replacing the other bank with water - frankly I don`t think that furter cropping of the above leaves will do any good.

The framing seems me very good. The subject is very interesting, amused. You have a good idea including the tree in the framing. I like of this photograph. Congratulations, Oldman Hank.

Well taken situation.

I would decrease brightness a bit to get more saturated colors and make a crop on the left side so that space between tree branch and left edge of photo is reduced to half...
What about a sepia tone version ?
Still is a very nice photo...
:))

Ok ?

Fred Rohde Fred Rohde #12 Sun 28 Jul 2002 21:29

Cut on the left side as much as possible till the green of the piece of grass. Cut even through that piece.

A great moment...delicious capture. In my singular opinion, i make a little crop to exclude the building in background, just that...only the moment. Congrats Oldman.
