I too like the colors and suspect the lack of sharpness might be due to scanning. Did you try applying a little unsharpenmask to the image? It helps a lot, usually.

Hmm.. I dunno. Too much same-toned pink for my taste. Doesn`t seem well proportioned either - there`s the green leaf on the right, a blurry dark spot in the upper left corner... A disarray of sorts.
