I was able to take this picture during recent tests of the 2010 Olympic Sliding Track. German, Russian and American teams tested the facility. It is proving to be the world's fastest track, with speeds of 140 kmh being reached.

A Russian sled had crashed just before I got to the track after work. This caused delays that saw the end of natural light. It was with effort I got this image, but I feel it captures the sense of speed.
