In the moments before the sun rises it sends it`s first light to the clouds and at the lowest angle it lights them red. I happened to be there on a cold November morning when it rises behind this stand of trees. A moment later, the sun went behind the clouds and the sky was a dull gray. No filters or special effects were apllied.
