Hi Jose!
If you would crop this picture very tightly, leaving just 2 ladies on the front, water fountain and door with window on the groundfloor, then B&W would work perfectly.
Here, I'm so sad to see, that all that weallth of mold on the walls, drying linen on a line, people on the back - all that is just lost without color.
Regards!

I'm not sure you are right, Josef. What purpose for to ephasise those two ladies? They are not so interesting themselves as such... What is interesting is the whole situation, the whole scenery with all its attributes... Something like in old Italien films...

Yosef Raskin Yosef Raskin #12 Sun 4 Jan 2009 16:38

I'm not sure that I'm right too...

Siituation between those ladies IS interesting - plus fountain and so graphic door and windows on the white wall - especially if it takes more place on a picture, and it will be genre photo, which I love so much and try to do myself, and which you just never tried to do ( all your works are about scenery, not about people)
Just differnt look on things...

On the other side, there are lots of small details, which are lost without color, and that's pity...

Sorry to admit, but I don't like old Italian movies blushing
