Feel like I could step into my monitor and walk on down the stairs...

Mike, now that I`ve had my say in the forum - really fo think I`d hang this on my wall - if i had any space and to elaborate - it leads my eye down a set of stairs tro who know what with the light on the loops of railing that add energy to the image and while the windows are over exposed, the effect adds to the image by injecting another element of mystery.

You know, as i studied this image and wrote the comment, i went through a process, by which I learned something.

Excellent perspective and gradation of light Mike.

The good combination of light and shadow has turned out.

I am not so sure about that picture. I think photographs of architecture, particularly of interiors, should be sharper. Of course, you could have special effects, mist, fog, optical distortions to get some artistic message across, or whatever, but I don`t think you were doing that, I just think you took a snapshot of that beautiful staircase. I wish the back area was darker (although I realize that`s an impossibility because that is precisely where the light is coming from!). The image is romantic and mysterious and that save it from 3, but because it is not very sharp, it is not exactly 5, and not even 4 +. Actually, after looking more at it I feel it has a certain watercolor quality, so may be it is even good that the photo is not sharp. 5-
