Construction of Quwwat-ul-Islam (Might of Islam) Mosque began in 1190. The mosque is built on a raised and paved courtyard, surrounded by pillared cloisters added between 1210 and 1220 AD. The material for the pillars was obtained from twenty seven demolished Hindu and Jain temples that stood in the area, so the pillar design is clearly Hindu in inspiration as the motifs and decorations on the columns do not exist in Islamic architecture. This integration of traditional Hindu and Islamic architectural forms signaled the new Indo-Islamic tradition of architecture in India.

The mosque belongs to the Qutub Complex that is listed in the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites in India.

Довольно интересно преподнесли с обработкой, единственное, мне неоновое свечение по контуру колоны на фоне неба не нравится.
