Shiraito no Taki (White Thread Falls) is located near Fujinomiya City in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. The total width of the falls is 200m, the highest point being 20m. The hundreds of thread-like streams of water come from inside of the rock face. The water originates as snow runoff from Mount Fuji and the falls was formed after one of the eruptions of the Volcano pushed the earth up at that point. Designated as an important natural treasure of Japan.
