Hey Dmitry - This is beautiful and majestic! Powerful image! I have one little nit and this is not your fault - I think your scanner stripped a little of the color from this. You may want to check the settings - You can put those colors back with PS. If I am completely wrong then I apologize. Wonderful Photo!

Dear all, thanks for comments and marks! Todd: Indeed, I scanned the chrome on a flatbed scanner, which is far from to be a drum scanner. Of course, colors depth and contrast of on-screen presentation are not the same as how they are at the slide on a light panel. Also, I corrected them in Adobe PS according to _my_ display settings... you know, WWW is not the best media to enjoy colors and details. However, I perfectly admit that the scene is too contrasty. Melanie: It is true. The piece of sky shown is a bit less then to be perfect.

what i like about this one is the feeling induced by the overall impression of the prevailing brown
it is comforting and refreshing – though when you are there all those rocks and the practically bare soil might give you a taste of something totally different such as pity and regret
nature is great anyway – whatever the format
of course instances when man spoils it are excluded
