This is a species of ichneumon fly, Ophion luteus, which lays its eggs inside caterpillars....yuk!

Mike, good to see you back smile This image is great - glows from within and very nice pleasant color hues. The fly`s mission in life is rather nasty, but I suppose that`s just a fact of life... Maybe a little more definition on the body would`ve been nice but that may have affected the softness of the entire photo. maybe, maybe not... great job!
