The Imperial Military order of St. George the Martyr (Order of Saint George) is the highest military award of the Russian Empire. In the extended sense - inclusive complex differences officers of lower ranks and military divisions. Founded by Empress Catherine II in 1769 in honor of St. George for the differences in achievements on the field of battle and length of service in the military ranks.
As Saint George is a Christian Saint, then to the Gentiles was a variant of the order, in which instead of St. George was the emblem of Russia (two-headed eagle). The order with the eagle was approved by Nicholas I, during the Caucasian war, and the first was rewarded major Jamov-Beck Kaitakhsky. On marble boards between the twisted Hall columns today one can read the names of 11 thousand knights of St. George.

Легко. Во время официальных приемов в Грановитой палате пьют, а в Георгиевский зал выходят ноги размять и покурить.

Спасибо, Александр, всё правильно, согласен, но с оговорками:

...незачем снимать полтора периода. А потом дополнить длинным кадром вдоль зала, под острым углом к этим простенкам- чтобы показать позиционирование и количество ниш.

Спасибо, Леонид! Вот этого мне больше всего и хотелось - показать залы Большого Кремлёвского дворца. Попасть туда проблематично, но мне, москвичу, посчастливилось посмотреть на всю эту красоту, а что уж говорить о не москвичах! smile handshake
