Fantastic shot, Peter! I not only admire your ability to shoot this timid bird, but also the fact that it`s not only an excellent shot from nature. You have created a plot here. The little owl looks almost as a human creature, so much reminds me of some wandering street child perched on some steps with all wide and wild world in front of him.
But it looks like old and wise. All is excellent!
Sun flare is a little distracting, but in no way detracts from this poignant image. The highlights on the feathers are very impressive, and the solemn, contemplative mood of this small raptor is enchanting to view.

) I think this must be a very rare capture. She looks incredibly adorable Something child-like not only about the young creature but about the mood of the photo in general. Even the peeking sun provides for a great, effective parallel. Digitalization visible, but any technical glitches pale in the face of this feathery beauty.
